Matthew McCullough

Administrative Assistant

Matthew McCullough went to prison at the age of 25 for a 25 year to life sentence. He emerged from prison 25 years later - exactly half his life had been spent in prison working on understanding himself and his life. This led him to become involved with, and facilitate, multiple groups in prison while working on his own growth, healing, and accountability as he supported others.

Now home, Matthew continues his self-work while working for various groups, always seeking to give back. Matthew invests his whole heart in the work he does and enjoys seeing all those affected by the criminal justice system as they heal and grow. Coming to work for ReEvolution seemed a natural next step as he continues to contribute his talents.

Some of the ways Matthew has trained for this heartfelt work include becoming certified as a Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist, taking mental health first aid classes, and voraciously reading books on self-help, psychology, and ultimately, the healing of trauma. He believes everyone, no matter their circumstances, deserves love and healing and works guided by this premise every day.
