Lamont thrives in a mentorship role as he contributes to bringing out the hidden talents in all those he mentors. A believer in full circle healing, Lamont says that this work benefits him, his mentees, and our community, for the mending of all. He came home in December of 2023 after almost 24 years of incarceration and is determined to live his life in a way that gives back in the best way he knows, which is supporting the next generation.

Lamont unwinds by taking drives to anywhere and nowhere in his spare time with his co-mentor, Diondre, which bring him joy as he experiences a heightened sense of freedom. He is looking forward to pursuing certification as a peer support specialist in between his work as “an inspirational manager” at a diversion program, and his role at ReEvolution.
