Jose Hurtado is a certified Substance Abuse Counselor, Life Coach, and dedicated Restorative Justice Group Facilitator with ReEvolution. He is deeply committed to helping others heal, grow, and find their purpose through accountability and support.

Originally sentenced to 40 years to life in California prison, Jose served 19 years. During his incarceration, he transformed his life, earning a Substance Abuse Counseling certification through the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation’s OMCP program. He went on to facilitate Twelve Step groups, substance abuse recovery programs, and juvenile diversion circles, building a foundation of experience he brings to his work today.

Since his release in January 2023, Jose has become a valuable asset to his community—empowering youth and adults alike to break cycles of trauma and addiction. He firmly believes that change is possible and that everyone deserves a second chance.
